Syracuse started the 2024-25 college basketball season with a nail-biter win over Le Moyne, a foe they have historically dominated. The 86-82 win sounded some alarm bells for the season to come, but Adrian Autry wrangled the Orange in the second half, where Jyare Davis and Chris Bell came up big to help the Orange out of a tight spot.
Colgate will present a completely different challenge for the Orange, especially for center Eddie Lampkin. Last week, he was chasing smaller centers around the perimeter. This time, Lampkin will meet another big man in Raiders veteran Jeff Woodward.
Syracuse has a dominant 128-47 lead in the all-time series between these teams, but Colgate has won two of the past three previous meetings, and kept the pressure on during the 79-75 Orange win last November.
