    Description

    GLASS TANKARD WITH A PEWTER AND BRASS CARTOUCHE OF A FLYING DUCK. For auction with no reserve is this heavy glass tankard containing a 3-dimensional cartouche of a flying duck.  The cartouche has a pewter elliptical backing with a brass flying duck protruding.  The glass is molded with a grape vine and grape bunch design.  The handle is graceful and sturdy. The cartouche is well done and I am guessing that the tankard was a promotional item for a brewery. There are no markings on the tankard except the pewter cartouche has a copyright mark and "FORT".  This is an interesting piece.  It may or may not be a common item, but it would be a great present for the outdoors man or woman.
